Checking a part

Measure I
Reads a size off the part.
  1. Click Measure.
  2. Click a corner, an edge or a face to read its size.
  3. Click a second one to read the distance and angle between them.
  4. Press Esc to close.
Section
Shows the part cut open so you can look inside. Nothing is changed.
  1. Click Section.
  2. Click a plane or a flat face to cut along.
  3. Drag the arrow or type a Distance to move the cut through the part. Flip shows the other half.
  4. Close it with the × on its window.
Interference
Finds components that overlap, and the clearance between two of them. Nothing is changed.
  1. Click Interference.
  2. Every pair of components that overlap is listed with the size of the overlap, and the overlap shows in red. Components that only touch are not listed.
  3. Click a line to fly to that overlap.
  4. Click two components to read the clearance between them.
  5. Press Esc to close.
Print check
Puts the part on your printer’s bed to see how it prints. The part itself is not changed.
  1. Click Print check. The bar becomes the print bar.
  2. The first time, pick your printer from the list or type its bed size. Every part is then checked against it.
  3. The card says at once whether the part fits, about how many grams and hours it takes, and what needs support. Support shows blue on the part, thin walls amber, too-thin walls red, details too shallow to show green.
  4. Turn the part on the bed with the print bar (below). The way it stands is kept with the part.
  5. Click Finish Print to go back to the part.
