Bring your members
Selling is not open yet. At launch every project is free to put up and free to download, and anyone can order a print. Prices, paid files and memberships open once payouts to creators work. This page tells what is coming.
Bring your members
Your members, your files and your tiers, moved in an evening. Your members get a personal link and join in two taps. Nothing is sent for you and nothing goes public until you say.
What one member pays you, each month
A $10 a month member, after the card fee and 1%.
The steps
-
Download your member list
On a computer, open the members page of the site you use now and download the list as a CSV. Filter it first to the people you want to invite, for example paid and active members. You get a CSV file with each member's name, e-mail and tier.
Membership sites have this export for creators. Keep the file private: it holds your members' e-mail addresses.
-
Gather your files
Put each project in its own folder, with its pictures and a text file describing it if you have one. Files that only live in your old posts: download them first. Zips are fine, one per project or one for everything.
Keep a spreadsheet of your projects? Save it as CSV and put it next to the folders. Columns named like Folder, Title, Description, Tags, Price and Licence are read.
-
Bring your shop
Open Bring your shop and drop the folder or zips. Every project arrives as a draft. Check the titles, prices and licences, then press Publish all.
-
Set up the same tiers
In Your shop, add a membership tier for each tier you have now: the same price, the same perks in your words, and which projects or collections it unlocks.
-
Make the invitation links
Open Bring patrons in Your shop and drop the CSV from step 1. Each member gets a personal link that opens your membership page with their tier already chosen.
Boolean3D does not e-mail your members. You send the links yourself: a post on your old page, your newsletter, or an e-mail.
-
Tell your members, then close the old tiers
Post the date you will stop publishing on your old page, and ask members to cancel there once they have joined. When most have moved, close the old tiers so nobody pays twice.
Questions
Do my members have to pay twice?
Only if they forget to cancel on the old site. Give them a date, and close the old tiers when they have moved.
Can Boolean3D copy my old posts for me?
No. Boolean3D never logs in to another site for you. You bring the files you have.
What do members keep if they leave?
That rule is being decided. It will be written on your membership page before anyone joins.
What does it cost?
Memberships run on the cloud plan; its price is not set yet. On each payment you pay the card fee (2.9% + $0.30) and 1%.
