Spool hub generator

An adapter that fits a filament spool's centre hole onto a bearing or a rod. Type the spool's hole and the bearing or rod; print two.

How to make yours

  1. Measure the spool's centre hole and type it.
  2. Type your bearing's or rod's diameter: a 608 bearing is 22 mm.
  3. Set the sleeve length, the flange and the clearance.
  4. Download it as STL, 3MF or STEP, and print it.

How wide the spool's centre hole is.
Bearing or rod diameter (608 bearing 22) 5 to 40 mm
How wide the bearing or rod that goes through the hub is.
Sleeve length 5 to 40 mm
How far the sleeve goes into the spool.
Flange past the hole 3 to 20 mm
How far the flange reaches past the hole, so the hub cannot slip through.
Flange thickness 1.5 to 6 mm
How thick the flange is.
Clearance 0 to 1 mm
How much looser than the hole the hub is, so it slides in.
