Gridfinity socket bin generator
A Gridfinity bin with 12 holes for a 1/4 in drive socket set, standing drive end up, growing from the smallest socket to the largest.
How to make yours
- Set the smallest and the largest socket; the 12 holes grow evenly between them, in one row.
- Set the clearance: how much wider each hole is than its socket.
- Set how deep the holes are, and tick on magnet holes if your baseplate has magnets.
- Download it as STL, 3MF or STEP, and print it.
What each slider does
- Smallest socket, outside 8 to 14 mm
- How wide the smallest socket is outside, the first hole.
- Largest socket, outside 14 to 22 mm
- How wide the largest socket is outside, the last hole.
- Clearance 0.2 to 1.5 mm
- How much wider each hole is than the socket it holds.
- Pocket depth 6 to 30 mm
- How deep each socket sits; the bin's height follows in 7 mm Gridfinity units.
- Magnet holes on or off
- Holes under each foot for magnets that hold the bin to a magnetic baseplate.
