Gridfinity hex bit bin generator
A Gridfinity bin with a hexagon pocket for each 1/4 in screwdriver bit, standing up in rows. Set how many along and how many rows.
How to make yours
- Set the bit size across the flats: 6.35 mm for 1/4 in bits.
- Set how many bits along and how many rows; the bin grows one 42 mm square at a time to hold them.
- Set how deep each pocket is, and tick on magnet holes if your baseplate has magnets.
- Download it as STL, 3MF or STEP, and print it.
What each slider does
- Bit size across the flats (1/4 in 6.35) 4 to 12 mm
- How wide the bit's hex shank is across its flats; the pocket is 0.3 mm wider.
- Bits along 1 to 12
- How many bits sit side by side in a row.
- Rows 1 to 5
- How many rows of pockets there are, front to back.
- Pocket depth 5 to 25 mm
- How deep each bit sits; the bin's height follows in 7 mm Gridfinity units.
- Magnet holes on or off
- Holes under each foot for magnets that hold the bin to a magnetic baseplate.
